Just asking What is 1X, 2,3,4,5X … ?? And I don’t really understand exit at 21 DTE? do you have another video to explain about these? Thank you. 🙏

the problem for the long options is the money (margin) is compromised until the expiration date for small account size this could be a problem.

HI Davis, thank you for the video. I am wondering, If I only do sell put, stop-loss 90%, will it be safe? My purpose is not to have the contract exercise. So if stock price drops, will it not exercise if I leave a stop-loss 90%?

davis , can I use this method for IC adjustment

If the Index closed at 177, it seems like the total loss would be $65 with the "1 Wide Wing" and $265 with the "5 Wide Wing". If that is correct, then how is it more advantageous to use the wider wings? Please help, I'm trying to understand this.

@optionswithdavis you mentioned on one of your videos that you do not need a stop loss, because the long strike acts as a stop loss. can you please elaborate? I use a take profit of 50% of credit with a combo of 21 DTE exit to manage my 45 DTE vertical spreads and I use a 100% of credit stop loss. My recent trade on a QQQ call spread, had me hit my 100% stop loss 4 days after opening the position, so I closed out the position. Thinking back on the trade, I simulated my return, and I had to wait until 3 days to expiration of the 45 DTE spread to fully realize my profit, given that the price does not go against my spread. Is that the stop loss you are mentioning? I feel like my psychology of the trade, I could not stand being at negative 100%-400% for the duration of the 45 days, hoping the price does not hit my spread and price expires worthless just to hit profit at the end of the 45 DTE. How do you approach managing a losing position if there is still 30 to 40 days left to expiration?

Hi Davis, Luis here. You don't think would be a good idea in a poor's man covered call, when we set a sell call at certain strike a DTE, we can set a buy call at the same strike and DTE, so we never have the risk to get exercised with the sell call?

The market always has a way to humble us and remind us to stick to our trading plan, last week was a clear and expensive example. Thank you Davis for this video, it is a reminder of why we are trading the strategy of choice. I tested my strategies and I know they work over the long term. I had so many doubts las week if I should continue doing it or make changes, and now it is clear to me again that I should continue trading and follow the plan because it works.

Hi Davis, is a put butterfly spread similar to a call butterfly spread. Meaning to say, sell a call ratio credit spread and then buy a further OTM call of equi distance between the call credit ratio spread width ?

Every brokers out there are difference so it makes it so hard even though we have all the knowledge we gather especially knowing that we could use Bull put spread when its uptrend and buying it during retracement. I lied, one more quick question. Do you tend to give more weight to the anticipated range, or the Delta? For examle, your 25-Delta strike is below the current support, but it is within the anticpated range (and actually by a decent margin). Do you push the strike outside the anticipated margin, or go by the Delta calculation? Again, thank you to anyone who wants to share their thoughts!!! :-)

Love your content, Davis! I have a silly question for you. I'm looking at a setup today that looks really good, (resistance, stochastic, expected range), but the premium for the spread ($5.00 spread, 54 days out), is only about $0.80. I believe that, according to what I've seen in your vids, that is lower that what you like to go. As a general rule, will you consider a trade in these circumstances, or is your premium rule hard-and-fast? If you aren't hear to answer, I'd love to hear what some of the others think. Thanks!

My issue with options is that it ties up your margins and your money for the DTE which could be up to 60 days or more even sometimes Which prevents you from proceeding with other opportunities as they arise, so I believe in a very short term options to keep opportunities open and accounts available and for a quick rollover if needed, any comments are welcome please?🎉

Great strategy except you will need collateral to cover the one naked short put. Played with this on ThinkorSwim % chances of winning is very good.
